Here we are for the next two designer/makers taking part in Handmade, firstly we have,
She graduated in 2010 from Winchester School of Art in BA hons Textiles, Fashion and Fibre, specialising in Textile Art.
She has always had a passionate interest for free hand machine embroidery and for a long time enjoyed making machine embroideries as a hobby. Her main passion in life is being environmentally-friendly, so she endeavours to make her products as eco-friendly as possible, using recycled card, biodegradable packaging, and found and re-used fabric.
She loves making things with fabrics that she finds all over the place, from old clothing to pieces picked up at car boot sales.
Everything is lovingly made by Sarah at her home studio, which is a horders paradise – filled with ribbons, buttons & fabrics galore!
Her designs are inspired by nature & everyday living…
She started making her own bath products after getting fed up of paying stupid prices for her addiction to nice smelling things. Now shes not only addicted to using them, but also making them!
She loves making weird and wonderful products- functional doesn’t have to be boring! Everything she sells is suitable for vegetarians, and most items are suitable for vegans too. She tries to stick to all natural ingredients whenever possible and
nothing she sells has been tested on animals (unless you include her boyfriend!). Everything is made fresh and packaged straight away to ensure it stays at maximum stinkyness. All of her products have passed cosmetic safety assessments, and she only uses EU approved ingredients.
You can find her on Folksy.
